Bio
- Hey there, a bit about me….
- I’m 1/2 Irish and 1/2 Russian. Great mix for both Guinness and Vodka. Always lived around London (except for a job in Singapore working with Rocket Internet)
- Love playing tennis and played competitively when I was younger. Now I am a little lazier, busier and heavier than before!
- Previously worked in a venture and growth equity fund here in London, finding exciting and fast growing tech business in Europe to invest in (like Userled but a little later stage). A slightly different world to this one I find myself in now, but not too far off. Spent a lot of time working with Founders/ CEOs on GTM, sales etc.
- If you want intel on any (privately-held) company which you can’t find online, feel free to ask me - I’ll find out 😉
Best way to work with me
- I find meetings useful but only with a clear agenda. Walking/ stretching legs during meetings also welcomed… we sit far too much in the day and if the weather is good and there is something to talk about, let’s get a coffee outside.
- I appreciate feedback. Always.
- I like to work in blocks to fully concentrate on the task at hand. I don’t mind you putting something in my diary if you want to catch up with me for 15 mins or so. Longer also fine… but.. clear agenda.
- I can be a bit of a perfectionist sometimes and can get bogged down making something 100% when in fact ~80% is fine. Bear with me and do call me out on it. No problem.
- I like being able to quantify and measure output. If there is something you think is worth changing (whatever it be), data is a good way to convince me.
You should know
- I would consider myself an extrovert and love spending time with people and often talking nonsense. If I’m annoying you, you can tell me. No hard feelings.
- Desperately trying to convince my girlfriend to get a dog with me. Will Userled host one? 😉
Come to me for
- A walking meeting (with a clear agenda) - I’ll buy you a coffee.
- London food and drink recommendations. God knows how much time (and money) I’ve spent going to new places in the Big Smoke.
- A game of tennis/ 5-aside football (the latter I am working on, haven’t played properly for some time/ since school)
